Big week to be in NY as, starting today, the Center for Architecture does their part for the city’s Architecture Week. Art Daily has a nice, thorough write-up about all the events, which include today’s “An Evening with MaryAnne Gilmartin” (she of great power within Forest City Ratner, the company that will soon likely own all of New York), tomorrow night’s “An Evening with Holly Leicht” (she who holds the title of Deputy Commissioner of the city’s House Preservation and Development department), and finally ending on their two biggest “evenings,” Wednesday with starchitect Daniel Libeskind (more info about that event here) and a 9pm to 2am Party@theCenter on Thursday night. Libeskind is also receiving the Center’s President’s Award, and it’s free, so you really don’t have any excuse. Go!
