The Best of Architectural Digest’s AD100

We have another list for you today. We’ve sorted through Architectural Digest’s “AD100,” which collects all the best individual designers and firms that create “imaginative, intelligent, and inspiring,” work, and picked out some of the best. What makes the FishbowlNY editors qualified to do that? Nothing! But we do like cool looking stuff, and the AD100 has plenty of it.

Below are our favorites from the January issue.

By Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects. We love all the light the glass walls provide. However, your neighbors might buy you curtains as house warming gift.

By Daniel Romualdez Architects. Floor to ceiling books ensure that everyone understands how much smarter you are than them.
By Michael Maltzan Architecture. This... This item is amazing. If you know what it is, please tell us.
By Leroy Street Studio. We hear if you put Christmas lights on this house an alarm automatically dials the police, who then arrest you for destroying something beautiful with colored light bulbs.
By Shope Reno Wharton. Nothing says, "Leave me and my awesome house alone," like a custom built lake in front of the door.
