The Atlantic Wire, the news site from The Atlantic, has rebranded itself as simply The Wire; a completely unique name. We can’t think of anything similar. When the FishbowlNY editors think of The Wire, our minds are completely blank. We do not imagine an iconic TV show that made rich people scared to visit Baltimore.
Why did The Atlantic Wire change its name? According to Gabriel Snyder, the site’s editor, it had something to do with news.
