That Mexican Guy
When you’re watching Scarface or The Jerk or one of 400 movies featuring an anonymous Mexican guy in the background and you find yourself wondering, “I know I’ve seen that guy before. Who is he?” Well, his name is Pepe Serna. And we’re convinced he left Mexico to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles 37 years ago just so OCR reporter Peter Larsen could one day write this lede:
“The moon was full the night Pepe Serna hit the donkey on a lonely road in Mexico in 1969.”
