Telefonica Spain To Open eBookstore
eBooks are coming to phones and tablets in Spain. Telefonica Spain has launched a beta version of its Movistar eBookstore for the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
The current version of the eBookstore is in beta, with the official launch slated for the end of 2010 or early 2011. At that time, the eBookstore will be rolled out to smartphones, eReaders and tablets.
Telecompaper.com has more: “The beta version offers access to one chapter of around ten titles, including an interactive e-book called Amanda, which involves readers searching for the protagonist at websites and social networks…The company has signed deals with Publidisa and Libranda, the platform formed by Spain’s major publishers.
