Telefonica Adds a Baker's Dozen to its iPhone List

Telefonica, which last week said it inked a deal to sell the iPhone in its native Spain, announced yesterday that its partnership with Apple has been expanded to include a dozen countries in Latin America plus the Czech Republic. The cellco also offers the iPhone n the UK and Ireland through its O2 unit.

Under the new agreement, Telefonica can now add Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela to the list of countries where it will be distributing the upcoming 3G iPhone.
