Taxi Hailing App Uber Adds Fare Splitting
Taxi-hailing app Uber has added fare splitting so you can now split a cab with a friend or colleague and divide the cost up equally. You can split the fare with one or more parties. The Uber blog explains how to split a fare:
- Request a ride
- Tap the “up arrow” icon next to your driver’s info
- Select “Split Fare”
- Choose your friends
- Tap “Send”
If you friend is not an Uber user, they’ll be prompted to download the app and sign up.
Uber is available in more than 30 cities around the world.
