Taking Apart Sydney Design Week, Then the Rest of Them

Continuing today’s apparent Australia trend (this is the second of three posts yet today), Elizabeth Farrelly of the Sydney Morning Herald chimes in with “Poor Judgment Turns Design to Dross.” It starts as a condemnation of a bloated Sydney Design Week, then moves into a great commentary not just about fairs, festivals and “weeks” themselves, but about design in general, saying how the “interesting” has become the way of things, resulting in completely pointless, unusable pieces of product or information conveyance.
