Taco Bell QR Codes Let You Find Special MTV Content
QR Codes have a lot going for them. They are easy to produce (free tools on the net), easy to interpret (apps for most, if not all, major smartphone platforms) and can contain relatively complex types of information (like web URLs). It is surprising we don’t see it used in more promotional campaigns. However, fast food giant Taco Bell is using it in their new campaign with MTV.
Here’s how it works:
Buy a Big Box Remixed between 7/21/11 and 9/4/11 OR a Large Fountain Drink between 7/31/11 and 9/4/11, and use your smartphone to scan the QR code located on the large cup or box.
