Tablets Star In Super Bowl Ads

Tablets got some play at the Super Bowl last night, as they starred in a number of different ads during the big game.

Motorola took the opportunity to introduce its new Motorola Xoom tablet with an ad reminicient of Apple’s 1984 commercial. The tagline for the ad, “The Tablet to create a better world,” comes on screen after a couple find each other in a dull grey and white world.

News Corp. also took advantage of the eyeballs watching last night’s game with an ad for its new iPad-only news app called The Daily. According to All Things Digital, News Corp got the $3 million spot for free since Fox aired the game.

Verizon also promoted its new iPhone 4 during the big game.
