T-Mobile Smartphone Users Up 257%. Now Makes Up 21.3% of its Customers

T-Mobile, the smallest of the “big four” mobile wireless carriers int he U.S., announced its 2010 Q3 results.

Here are some of the highlights with a bit of added smartphone analysis from me:

– Revenue is relatively flat at $4.71 billion
– Smartphone user count rose 257% from 2009 Q3 to 2010 Q3 (2.8 million to 7.2 million)
– Smartphone users account for 21.3% of its customer base (7.2 million of 33.8 million total customers)
– Devices highlighted in T-Mobile’s 2010 Q3 report are: T-Mobile G2 (HTC), Samsung Galaxy Tab (yet to be released Android tablet), myTouch 4G (Android phone released yesterday), and the Windows Phone 7 phones which will be available starting next week (Dell Venue Pro and HTC HD7)
