T-Mobile Says US 3G Network Upgraded to 7Mbps Peak - But, I Don't See Anything Close to That

Had to ponder this news item from PhoneScoop…

T-Mobile Upgrades to HSPA 7.2Mbps, First to Deploy HSPA+

T-Mobile’s nationwide 3G upgrade is supposed increase peak speed from 3.6Mbps to 7Mbps. Um, I’ve never seen anything faster than 750Kbps. So, I’ll have to take their word for it. My HTC Touch Pro2 is supposed to support HSDPA (7.2Mbps) and HSUPA (2Mbps). So, I should see something, right? We’ll see if my Nexus One provides any speed benefits after I receive it.

On the bright side, I noticed that T-Mobile’s 3G network has been expanding in my area.
