T-Mobile Is Literally Doubling Its Hurricane Relief Efforts During the World Series

Wireless network now donating $20,000 per home run

As the intensity ramped up during the first game of the 2017 World Series,  T-Mobile followed suit with its hurricane recovery efforts.

The official wireless sponsor of Major League Baseball announced during the third inning of Tuesday night’s Game 1 of the World Series that it is doubling down on its #HR4HR campaign to raise money for Team Rubicon’s hurricane relief and recovery efforts in Puerto Rico, Texas and Florida.

When the postseason started earlier this month, T-Mobile pledged $10,000 to Team Rubicon for every home run and an additional $1 for every tweet with the #HR4HR hashtag.

T-Mobile president and CEO John Legere announced Tuesday night that the stakes would be doubled—$20,000 for every homer and $2 for every tweet #HR4HR tweet up to $500,000 on top of the home run total.

MLB players like Evan Longoria, Miguel Sano and Nelson Cruz are tweeting to raise awareness.
