A painful front-row seat for Paul Newberry

One of the first things tweeted out by the Atlanta Journal Constitution in the wake of their team’s devastating Super Bowl LI loss looked like this:

The article tagged by the AJC was in fact a quickly filed summary of the game by Paul Newberry, part of a team of six AP reporters and editors who congregated in Houston to cover Super Bowl LI. Newberry, who hails from and is based in Atlanta, has been with Associated Press since 1984.

On his Twitter account, Newberry exclaimed at one point during the Patriots’ surging comeback, ‘I can’t believe what I’m seeing.
