Sumner Redstone Could Face Sexual Harassment Claim

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. Viacom CEO Sumner Redstone keeps stepping in it with regards to the hiring and/or treatment of women in his company. The New York Post is reporting that a prominent former executive at Viacom is threatening to sue the billionaire for sexual harassment.
According to the report, the lady has hired the same attorney as Anuche Browne Sanders did during her sexual harassment trial against former New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas and Madison Square Garden. It worked rather well for Sanders; she walked away with $11.6 million.
“Her complaint is currently being reviewed by lawyers in-house, but the real threat is that papers will be filed with the court if a settlement is not reached, which could be hugely embarrassing for Redstone,” according to an unnamed source speaking to Page Six.
This news comes just a day after reports surfaced that Redstone forced Showtime to hire a seemingly unqualified PR rep during a hiring freeze. Rohini Singh was given more than 2,000 stock options and a $50,000 salary, despite the entry-level work, according to the reports.
