Stephen King Offers Early Access to 'Mile 81' for Power Klout Users

Publishers Weekly notes that users of the "digital influence" tracking site Klout, with the requisite social media power, have a chance to download the story for free from any of the major ebook merchants. The free download started today according to King’s website.

Stephen King’s latest book, “Mile 81,” will be available strictly online as an ebook from Scribner. The ebook will be available this Thursday, September 1, 2011 unless you have perks with Klout.

The book is described as “the chilling story of an insatiable car and a heroic kid whose worlds collide at an abandoned rest stop on the Maine Turnpike.”
