Start-Up Pays Employees to Take 'Paid, Paid Vacation'

Yes, you read that right. FullContact, a technology start-up, announced a new vacation policy with a twist.

They’re paying employees $7,500 each to go offline. Literally, they want their talent to enjoy time off.

According to Inc., the policy is for a “paid, paid vacation” with one catch: The employee must disconnect from work completely.

The policy gives employees the money to pay for their trip away, as long as they completely disconnect from work. In the company’s blog, Bart Lorang, CEO, explained:

“If people know they will be disconnecting and going off the grid for an extended period of time, they might actually keep that in mind as they help build the company….At
