Starbucks Plays The Media Like A Violin. Mmm... Coffee.

As every reader of this blog most likely knows, Starbucks shut down all of their stores for three hours yesterday. The result? A media frenzy.

  • Fox Business Network used the event as a hook to send reporter Jenna Lee to four seperate Starbucks during morning rush to test customer service by ordering grande skim lattes and testing serving times (see video above).

  • The Washington Post slamming the chain for sending America into “collective withdrawal.”

  • Gawker’s recounting of the charming time a Starbucks employee got hand herpes from sharing dishwashing gloves with other employees.
