Spotify Rolls Out in 13 New Markets in Europe, Including Russia

The streaming platform debuted 200 new playlists

Spotify debuted in 13 new markets in Europe Tuesday, highlighted by Russia, bringing its global total to 92 markets.

The streaming platform’s 13 new markets—for both its free and Premium service—are: Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

Spotify cited data from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, saying that Russia is currently the No. 17 streaming market worldwide, and it is on pace to reach No. 10 by 2030, with over 87% of people in the country accessing music via streaming, versus 68% in the U.S.
