Spotify: Missy Elliott Saw 676% Increase In Streams After Super Bowl

Though Katy Perry was the headliner, she wasn't the star on Spotify

While Katy Perry headlined the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show, it seems like more people were interested in going back and revisiting some of Missy Elliott’s greatest hits.

According to Spotify, streams of Missy Elliott songs increased 676 percent after her performance. Katy Perry’s streams increased by 85 percent and Lenny Kravitz 103 percent.

Here’s a look at how the streams of Katy Perry’s tracks increased following her performance:

  • Teenage Dream – 139%
  • Firework – 107%
  • California Gurls – 98%
  • I Kissed A Girl – 94%
  • Dark Horse – 69%
  • Roar – 56%

On a track level, Missy’s increases were as follows:

  • Lose Control – 1396%
  • Get ur Freak On – 922%
  • Work It – 896%
