Weber Shandwick’s Detroit office has been selected by the Michigan Strategic Fund and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to build the Pure Michigan brand. In 2006, the Pure Michigan campaign was launched, and in March, the state’s Governor Rick Snyder signed legislation backing the campaign with $25 million. Work will include media strategy and outreach, digital work, content creation, and SEO.

Junior Achievement USA, which teaches young people economic skills, has chosen Porter Novelli as its AOR. The firm will work on media relations, reputation management, digital outreach, and PR strategy.

Sophos, an information security company, has chosen tech PR firm Affect for work promoting the company’s Naked Security blog. The work focuses on media relations efforts that spread the word about the blog’s expertise. Affect will work with the company’s U.K.-based AOR Johnson King on a marketing plan. [via]

Women’s Health Connecticut has chosen Cronin & Company for a rebranding campaign that will include a new logo, marketing materials, and website redesign. The new tagline has already been announced — “Devoted to women, committed to excellence” — and the new website will launch this quarter.

The TJX Companies, home to T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, is launching a search for a new AOR, ending its relationship with Ogilvy PR. The firm was chosen as AOR back in 2008. [via PRWeek]
