  • The New York offices of Sparkpr will be the agency of record for Steaz, maker of organic fair trade green tea beverages. Spark will work to raise awareness of the brand alongside social AOR Moosylvania and brand ambassador Darrelle Revis of the Patriots, who may or may not be a Gang Starr fan.
  • Waggener Edstrom will be PR AOR for Tallie, makers of an expense/management tool. The account will be run out of the firm’s San Francisco office so all its startup clients can better handle their billions.
  • LA-based creative agency ANTHEMIC has signed three new clients: the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, media platform Fluence, and PTA (PlanesTrains+Automobiles), a self-described “over the top network” whose principals are probably too young to have seen any John Candy movies. The agency is currently expanding its PR department.
  • Omnicom’s Mercury Public Affairs will handle PR for Golden Boy Promotions, a business started by former boxer Oscar De La Hoya to promote boxing. No obvious jokes here. (PR Week)
  • In other athletes’ vanity projects news, PMK*BNC handled the rollout for Derek Jeter’s The Player’s Tribune, a magazine that allows stars to write whatever the hell they want and now counts Porsche among its advertisers. Check out our October 2014 piece to figure out whether PR should pay attention to the venture. (O’Dwyer’s)
