Spin the Agencies of Record


  • Rubenstein Public Relations announced several new clients in the real estate sector: design firm SG Blocks, developer Continental Properties, luxury real estate firms RLTY NYC and Siras Development, crowd funding platform Fundrise, and valuation/advisory firm Butler Burgher Group (BBG). Unfortunately, we don’t even need to ask whether any of them can help us find an affordable two-bedroom in South Brooklyn.

  • Ridgemont Outfitters chose Remedy PR of San Diego as agency of record to handle its ongoing US expansion. The company, founded by a couple of former professional skateboarders, promises to “[blend] in nicely when the trail ends and civilization begins”; Remedy will use its media contacts to spread awareness of the brand.
  • Frank PR will be AOR for Smack Lobster Deli, The Goodman Restaurant Group’s latest establishment in Mayfair, UK. The Seven Samurai lobster roll with tempura lobster, Japanese mayo, cucumbers and more, sounds quite good. We’d ask for the Ran, but we can’t stand the sight of blood.
  • UK-based Liberty Communications followed its recent expansion to San Francisco by announcing a new client: retail and service innovation firm InReality. The company claims to “[shrink] the reality gaps between their brand’s promises and their customers’ actual experiences,” and we are very curious as to what that means.
  • Magrino, or The Susan Magrino Agency, signed Bedell Cellars of Long Island as its newest client. The winery has produced small batches of its signature product for more than 30 years, and its 2009 Merlot does not regret playing a supporting role at President Obama’s 2013 Inaugural Luncheon.
  • Falken Tire Group chose Atlanta-based Brandware Public Relations as its AOR as it prepares to expand its consumer audience beyond race car drivers.
  • Trevelino/Keller, also of Atlanta, will handle PR duties for Bibby Financial Services, an organization which lends money to small/mid-sized businesses. The firm will run social marketing, earned media and messaging campaigns.
  • SMAK Strategies of Boulder has nothing to do with lobsters, but it will be PR AOR for REDHED, maker of patented outdoor tools designed to last a lifetime.
