Travelocity has booked a return ticket to McKinney, the agency responsible for the Roaming Gnome, after two years with Leo Burnett. Though the company hasn’t been forthcoming with specific details regarding its return to McKinney, Travelocity’s CMO, Brad Wilson did comment, “McKinney’s passion for our brand and love of the Roaming Gnome is unquestioned. We are looking forward to tapping into their creative and strategic thinking immediately as we continue to tell our story to travelers.”

Restaurant chain O’Charley’s is focusing on the Midwest and has tapped Doner, based in Southfield, Michigan, to lead the effort, severing ties with NYC-based Merkley + Partners.

Mcgarrybowen has lost Bud Light’s business after just eight months. Translation, which is currently responsible for Bud Light Lime, Bud Light Platinum and major event marketing sponsorships, will assume the transferred responsibilities.

McCann Worldgroup’s Momentum unit is set to purchase ChaseDesign, a 50-year-old shopper-design consultancy. ChaseDesign brings with it more than 100 employees as Momentum seeks to capitalize on soaring growth in the shopper-marketing space.

Coke Zero has chosen Droga5 for its U.S. creative efforts, a move that follows the split between Coke Zero and CP&B, owned by MDC Partners, after seven years. Competition for Droga5 was fierce as Publicis Groupe’s Leo Burnett, MDC Partners’ 72andSunny, and WPP’s Ogilvy each vied for the opportunity.
