GolinHarris has been selected as AOR to Rotary International. The firm will help Rotary International raise awareness of its cause initiative End Polio Now, which addresses the ongoing fight against the disease abroad. GH will also conduct outreach for the nonprofit's other philanthropic efforts. The account will be handled out of the Los Angeles office by SVP Dan Zukowski. Cookie Jar Entertainment, makers of the Caillou line of toys launching this Spring, has selected Child's Play Communications for PR services. The firm, which specializes in PR targeting moms, will use its Team Mom blogger network to promote the line. According to Child's Play president Stephanie Azzarone, the Team Mom network will "not only highlight features and benefits in their reviews, but also share their child’s personal experience with the product, while typically including photos and often video of their children interacting with it." Biocell Center, which offers a system for preserving amniotic fluid, has chosen GCI Health to raise awareness about the benefits of saving amniotic fluids among expecting parents. Preserving the materials will give them the chance to take advantage of progress in regenerative medicine. Work has begun on the account, with GCI organizing a partnership between Biocell Center and HealthyWomen, an organization that provides health information to women. The partnership was part of Amniotic Fluid Awareness Day on January 27. The firm has also done blogger and traditional media outreach resulting in millions of media impressions and new Twitter followers. Work will continue out of GCI Health's New York office. Whitegate PR has been selected as AOR for Le Portfolio for iPad, an app launched this year that gives visual artists and designers access to an on-the-go presentation tool. The firm will work on efforts to raise awareness of the new app. Turner PR has added three clients to its roster: Travaasa Destinations, a line of destination hotels featuring customized programming with locations in Austin, TX and Hawaii; Paraiso Del Mar, a Mexican resort community located on the Sea of Cortez; and Inspirato, a membership organization for vacation home leasing.
