Spanfeller's Site to Serve High-End Cuisine

Spanfeller Media Group, former Forbes CEO Jim Spanfeller’s new digital media venture, is going after the high-end foodie crowd.

On Oct. 15, the company will roll out its first new content site, The Daily Meal, aimed at cooks, tastemakers, wine lovers and basic food enthusiasts. To shape the new site’s voice, Spanfeller (shown) has lined up Colman Andrews, one of the co-founders of Saveur and frequent contributor to the now defunct Gourmet magazine.

Andrews will serve as The Daily Meal’s editorial director, with former Forbes Traveler managing editor Valaer Murray taking on the role of managing editor.
