Facebook, Twitter Growth Driven By Smartphones In South Africa [STUDY]

The number of Facebook users in South Africa grew by 500,000 people, or 11 percent, in 2012, with a total of 4.9 million users now active on the social network, with the rapid rise in smartphone ownership fueling most of that growth.
