Sony Ericsson LiveView: iPod nano-sized Bluetooth Control of Android Phones - But, Not in the U.S.

One thought came to mind as I took a first look (virtually speaking) at the intriguing Sony Ericsson LiveView Bluetooth remote control for Android smartphones: Why didn’t Apple provide these features as an option in, for example, a top-of-the-line iPod nano? It can display text messages, calendar events, incoming call information and updates from Facebook and Twitter. It can also control media features on an Android phone.

So, what’s the drawback in this system? Well, for one, based on the information on its product site, it will not be available in the U.S.
