Twitter gave its web presence an upgrade Monday, which it says will mimic its iOS and Android applications. The company tweeted, naturally, that account holders would start to see the new web experience. If you haven’t seen it yet, Twitter is still in the process of rolling it out site-wide. The Verge The new look replaces the dark black navigation bar at the top of the site with a clean white design. The navigational elements — Connect, Discover, and so on — all remain the same. One of the biggest changes, of course, is that there is now an inline compose box on the left side, allowing you to pound out tweets without having to deal with the pop-up compose box. Facebook’s acquisition roll returned stateside, as Josh Miller, CEO of link-sharing service Branch, announced in a Facebook post Monday morning that Facebook acquired Branch and its sister service, Potluck. The Branch team, which is made up of nine people, according to The Verge, will remain based in New York, where it will form the new Facebook Conversations group.
