The new design also includes a related pins side bar, which may encourage users to stay on the site longer by clicking through to other boards. It had a huge year in 2012, and its much-copied interface sparked one of the year’s biggest and best design trends. The product, which first launched in 2010, had a phenomenal 2012 and ranked as the sixth most popular social network with 27.2 million unique U.S. visitors by year's end, according to Nielsen. Facebook Updates iOS App, Adds Voice Messaging, Recording of Voice and Video (AllFacebook) The voice-messaging feature that was added to the Facebook Messenger applications for iOS and Android is now part of the flagship Facebook app for iOS following an update Monday, along with the ability to record voice and video directly within the app, and an improved version of the nearby tab. Users sending messages to other users within the iOS app will now have access to the cameras on their devices, enabling them to take still photos or shoot video clips, and then add them to messages.
