Chinese-language DoNews said in a story dated Nov. 7 that iPad Mini display maker AUO is working on a 2,048 x 1,536 pixel resolution display for the next iPad Mini. Mashable Offering the same resolution found on the third- and fourth-generation iPad would mean all of the apps optimized for those tablets will look stunning on the iPad mini as well. Sources also claim that Apple will be using Sharp’s IGZO technology in the second-generation iPad mini, which will allow the tablet’s display to be thinner and more power efficient while still maintaining excellent color and brightness. Reuters Shares of Apple slid almost 4 percent on Wednesday to a five-month low as investors grew more uncertain about its ability to fend off unprecedented competition and untangle a snarled iPhone 5 supply chain. Microsoft Office for iPhone, iPad and Android Revealed (The Verge) The Verge has learned through several sources close to Microsoft's plans that the company will release Office versions for Android and iOS in early 2013.
