Facebook iOS, Android App Users Can Add Stickers to Photos (SocialTimes)
Starting Thursday, users of Facebook’s flagship applications for iOS and Android can add stickers to photos they upload prior to posting them. The social network introduced similar capabilities for its Messenger apps last December when it debuted its Stickered for Messenger app. The Huffington Post You’ll see a new sticker icon when you upload a photo to Facebook on mobile; when you add a sticker, you can drag it to wherever you want, change the size and rotate it. You can keep or remove the stickers before you decide to upload the photo to Facebook. TechCrunch The sticker phenomenon started in Asia, with Line and apps like WeChat and Kakao Talk, and Facebook’s continued adoption of stickers is a validation. In the case of Line, which pioneered the genre, stickers are just one part of its “soul” and — as Fast Company recently pointed out — “mimicking another app’s features may be easy, but stealing its soul is not.”

Pinterest Eyes $11 Billion Valuation with New Round of Funding (Wired)
Pinterest may soon join Uber and Snapchat in the elite class of startups valued at $10 billion or more. According to The Wall Street Journal — citing anonymous sources — the company is discussing a $500 million round of funding, which would value Pinterest at $11 billion.

YouTube for Kids is Launching on Feb. 23 (The Next Web)
USA Today says that YouTube plans to launch a new app called YouTube kids on Feb. 23. It was reported as early as March last year, but Google confirmed it was working on such an app in December.

Google Helpouts to Be Shuttered After Slow Growth (SocialTimes)
Unfortunately, Google has announced that it is shutting down Helpouts on April 20. In a brief statement, Google stated that the reason for discontinuing Helpouts was because the service “hasn’t grown at the pace we had expected.”

Google Inbox App Heads to Tablets, Firefox, Safari (CNET)
In a blog post Thursday, Google said that its Inbox email app is now available on the iPad and Android tablets. Previously, the app was restricted to the iPhone and Android smartphones, though it was also available via the Web.
