Social Media Budgets On The Rise, Despite Plummeting Economy

A new report from MarketingSherpa shows that despite budgets being hit by the economy, companies are investing in social media marketing. In seven industries, anywhere from two in five to almost four in five companies are increasing their social media budgets in 2010, while only a handful of companies are decreasing. And almost two thirds of the increases will go to hiring staff with social media expertise, so keep your resume up to date with your Twitter-fu.
