Facebook’s still has the lion’s share of social logins worldwide, but Google has now significantly closed the gap, while Twitter’s slice has got even smaller.

Facebook’s still has the lion’s share of social logins worldwide, but Google has now significantly closed the gap, while Twitter’s slice has got even smaller.

A Janrain study of 365,000+ websites worldwide found that Facebook accounted for 43 percent of social logins in the fourth quarter of 2014, down from 45 percent a year ago.

Google, meanwhile, saw its share rise from 35 percent in Q4 2013 to 40 percent in Q4 2014, and is now just 3 percentage points behind Facebook overall.

Twitter’s stake is just 5 percent, down from 6 percent in 2013.
