Digital Chocolate launches SLOTS! [Launch] — Digital Chocolate this week launched its latest social game on Facebook with SLOTS! The game debuts with seven differently-themed slot machines (with more to come in the near future). The game is planned to hit iOS and Android platforms soon.
Renren looking to better games to improve revenues — Chinese social networking group Renren still isn’t making money by relying on advertising. As a result, CEO Chen Yizhou told TechWeb that the company’s strategy from now on will include “developing better games and better mobile payment solutions.”
Food Network getting in on the cooking game — The Food Network is currently in the process developing a game to increase user engagement beyond the TV channel. Marketing Week reports users will be encouraged to do things like watch videos, post recipes and write reviews in exchange for virtual and real badges.
PlaySpan partners with Idea Fabrik — Visa-owned digital monetization group PlaySpan is teaming up with online game company Idea Fabrik. Idea Fabrik will use PlaySpan’s UltimatePay monetization product with its own online game development platform HeroCloud.
