Social Entrepreneur Students Raising Money For Charity On Twitter Thanks To #BigBird

Even if you didn’t watch the U.S. Presidential debate the other night, you’ve likely heard about Romney’s plans to “fire Big Bird.”

Well, two fast-moving University of North Carolina students snapped up firebigbird.com and began selling t-shirts.

Great way to make a quick buck? Certainly. But they’re doing this for charity.

Here’s what Romney said, in case you missed it:

“I’m sorry, Jim. I’m going to stop the subsidy to PBS. I’m going to stop other things. I like PBS.
