After all our talk about Semi-Permanent, this weekend’s two-day Design Extravaganza, as if there could be anything else in store today. We’re heading up to Lincoln Center now — it’s above 14th Street so we might get a little dazed and confused on the way, but bear with us — we’ll be back with deep thoughts and semi-live coverage. Opening party last night at Chelsea club/bar Home. Right next to Bed and Cain. Nice names, but whoever designed Home’s sign should reconsider their position in light of the fact that appealing faux-kitsch is one thing, overdone Ethan Allen another.
But we recovered, left, and so we’ll go, we’ll register, we’ll get our newsboy hat and our flashbulb and our sign that says Press, and we’ll repeat everything we hear just as fast as we can.
