Sneak Peek at Facebook Redesign

GigaOM obtained two screen shots of Facebook’s impending redesign and detailed some of the changes for the social-networking site’s home page.

According to GigaOM, the navigation bar will be reorganized, with the search field placed next to the Facebook logo and the duplicate profile link being removed. Settings and login will be combined under an “account” drop-down, and the sidebar will be scaled down to look more like Facebook Lite. And Facebook IM will still be located in the bottom-right-hand corner, but quick links to apps and notifications will be gone.
