SnapMyLife Makes Sharing Mobile Pix a Snap

Camera phone addicts who don’t have enough ways to share their pictures now have a new option. SnapMyLife, a brand new mobile social media site, is now live after a three-month testing period.

In March, during the test phase, the site saw some 500,000 unique visitors from 180 countries and served up more than four million page views.

SnapMyLife accepts photos via MMS, e-mail and uploads from the Web and mobile Web. According to the company, there’s no need to ever get a PC involved – uploading, sharing, alerts and commenting can all be achieved right on the phone.

The service wants to remain family-friendly, so it uses some filtering technology to reduce the risk of, um, mature content.
