Snapchat added to its arsenal of self-service advertiser tools with Wednesday’s rollout of Instant Create, giving brands a quick way to create vertical video ads for its platform.
Brands can go to Snapchat Ads Manager and select their objective, choosing between web visits, application installs and app visits.
After designing their creative and importing and/or uploading it, they can then finalize their targeting and publish the ad.
Snapchat said that while Instant Create was developed for brands of all sizes, direct-to-consumer advertisers stand to benefit in particular from the ability to quickly create and deploy video ads.
Snap Inc. CEO Evan Spiegel said during the company’s second-quarter-2019 earnings call last week, “Just this month, we started testing our new Instant Create onboarding flow, which generates ads for businesses in three simple steps from their existing assets, be it their app or their ecommerce storefront.”
Chief business officer Jeremi Gorman added during the call, “As we add more advertisers, we see the health of our marketplace growing with increasing diversity, relevance and engagement, which subsequently improves advertiser efficiency and user experience. We expect that increasing the number of advertisers will be the largest contributor to revenue growth, and we are aggressively pursuing the opportunity.”
