Slate Promotes Anthony DeMaio to Publisher
Slate has promoted Anthony DeMaio to publisher. DeMaio — who has been with Slate since 2012 — previously served as vice president of national sales and associate publisher.
DeMaio joined Slate from The Washington Post, where he served as digital sales director for its Eastern region.
“Anthony has been invaluable to Slate since joining us in 2012,” said Jacob Weisberg, chairman and editor-in-chief of Slate Group, in a statement. “He has significantly grown our business through smart leadership and a masterful understanding of what drives success in publishing.
