Skype Introduces Video Message Filters, 3D Touch Features

In addition to 3D Touch for iOS users, Skype introduced video message filters to users on iOS and Android.

Microsoft announced the latest content update for its applications on iOS and Android devices, introducing video message filters and more to users.

When sending a video message, users can now tap a wand button in the bottom-left corner of the screen to choose a filter, like an overlay of balloons or a negative filter, as examples.

In addition, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus users now have access to 3D Touch functionality both within the app and at their device home screen.

The Skype blog broke down these features:

  • Force Touch the Skype icon on your home screen for quick access to our most used features–search your Skype contacts, start a call or chat and access the Skype dial pad.
