The Sims FreePlay Updated for Christmas 2014

The Sims FreePlay Christmas 1It’s time to once again celebrate the holidays in The Sims FreePlay, as a Christmas event has launched in EA’s life simulation game. Players can now decorate their homes for Christmas, and will eventually be able to complete new quests alongside Santa Claus as they work to save the holiday. This event comes with plenty of new items to decorate your Sims’ homes, and even dress your Sims (and pets) to match the occasion.

As of right now, players are greeted with a preview of the Santa event when logging into the game. Santa has apparently become stuck in a chimney during a pre-Christmas delivery test run, and players receive the first of many free daily presents in this event.

Starting on December 14, players can complete “The Great Xmas Mishap” quest, which sees players going on an adventure to the North Pole to help discover the cause of accidents around the neighborhood. For players that complete the event and successfully save Christmas, a living Teddy Bear will be unlocked as a grand prize. The Sims FreePlay ChristmasAs a new interactive location, players will be able to explore the North Pole, feeding reindeer and helping the Elves. Back at home, players can purchase a Christmas tree from the store using premium currency, while Sims can be dressed in themed outfits by taking them to the Costume & Swim Store. For adult female Sims, for instance, red and green Christmas dresses are available for 5,500 Simoleons each.

On December 28, another round of holiday celebrations kick off to celebrate the New Year. Players will be able to complete the “Resolution Solution” quest to unlock new decorations, wallpapers, party hats and more. The theme for this particular quest set will see Sims working to complete their resolutions before a new year begins.

The Sims FreePlay is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore.
