Is Slate the coolest of the NSA’s new Crypto Kids? Does he even beat out Decipher Dog, Crypto Cat, and language analyst Rosetta Stone?
Harry Jaffe wonders whether Slate is a subtle dig at the Washington Post company and its liberal-leaning online magazine.
“There is absolutely no connection between the character Slate and the Washington Post Web site,” NSA information officer Kwanza Gipson wrote to Jaffe. “Any similarities in name is purely coincidental. Our character Slate is a Rabbit and he represents our Math skill community.
