Siberia: The Documentary

Watch this video. It’s a trailer for the new documentary about Siberia, one of New York’s great dive bars until its 2006 passing. A journalist/media favorite (where we saw a few hundred drunken Times staffers over our visits), it was also the kind of bar where SNL actors, wannabe-Interpol hipster types, Post reporters, the homeless and insufferable college students could get together in the quest for sorta-cheap Buds and Jim Beams.

We discovered Siberia back when they were located in the 50th street subway station and had punk rock and death metal shows inside a 400 square foot space. RIP.
