I’m Away From My Facebook Page Right Now …

Reader Chris Ruberg, social community specialist at OneCommand, shared the screenshot to the right, in which his page admin menu contains an option for “show status as away,” and the following text appears when hovering over it:

Stepping out? Set your status to away for 12 hours. Change it if you get back sooner.

Facebook recently introduced a “very responsive to messages” badge for pages, and the ability for page admins to set their status to away appears to be a way for pages with single or very few admins to avoid being penalized for not immediately responding to messages.
