'Shot 97' Gets NYPD Cameras Installed

Hot 97’s studio on Hudson Street — the scene of a number of rap-related shootings, including the one that landed Lil Kim in jail for perjury and thus spawning a critically-acclaimed album and reality show — is getting video cameras installed as part of the NYPD’s $9 million plan to install 500 in strategic spots across the city, the Daily News reports. We also hear that fans and industry watchers have dubbed the station “Shot 97.”
