Picture this scenario: You log onto Facebook to catch up with some friends, play a little Scrabble, or whatever, and you suddenly notice an ad that informs you, “Hot singles are looking for you.” You look at the picture in the ad, and you do indeed find her hot. After all, you’re married to her.
That’s what happened to a Facebook user named Peter, endofweb.co.uk reported. Peter’s wife documented the entire saga on her own blog.
DownloadSquad posted instructions on how to opt out of appearing in random Facebook ads, saying, “All you have to do to prevent this is sign in to Facebook and click through to (get ready) -> Settings -> Privacy -> News Feed and Wall -> Facebook Ads -> Appearance in Facebook Ads and click ‘no one.'”
