Sharethrough Raises $5 Million for Native Video Ad Platform, Hires Two New Execs

Native video advertising company Sharethrough has raised $5 million in Series B funding from existing investors North Bridge Venture Partners and Floodgate, the company announced today. With the additional funds, Sharethrough plans to promote its Sponsored Video Platform, which is expected to generate $40 million in revenue in 2013.

With the additional funds, Sharethrough plans to promote its Sponsored Video Platform, which is expected to generate $40 million in revenue in 2013. The company’s revenue has grown 87 percent in the last year.

Sharethrough has also named former Auditude CRO Mike Gaffney as its new chief revenue officer, and former Federated Media SVP of operation James Navin as its new VP of strategic operations.

Gaffney was employee number 20 at Salesforce.com.
