We don’t know what’s more exciting: Richard Rogers vs. Skidmore Owings and Merrill vs. Pelli Clarke Pelli in the architectural smackdown of the century or the fact that people actually care about what’s going to happen. Unprecedented attention is being paid to San Fran’s Transbay Transit Center project, where the three firms’ proposals–each trying to out-green the next–were presented to the public for comments last week. An exhibition featuring the three proposals was visited by over 1000 people and the project’s crashed the day it launched due to overwhelming traffic. Comments can be submitted until September 20, so if you’ve got something to say, let your voice be heard.
